1. One must sincerely crave such LOVE for ALLAH.
A person must make firm intention in his heart to acquire true LOVE for ALLAH.
2. Give up Worldly (Dunya) pleasures. The seeker of the material world (Dunya) can never become the seeker of ALLAH. Every desire must be removed from his heart unt...il it is empty, And one can say: "Every desire has departed from my heart, (O ALLAH) come now (Into My Heart), now there is solitude."
3. Continual recital of TAHLIL - "La Ilaha Illa Llah" - This is a powerful weapon, it removes all false deities that may reside in one's heart.
4. Reflection (FIKR) - By imagining the spiritual blessings (Faith) of ALLAH, One's Faith increases.
5. Company of those who are true in word and deed.
6. Prayer and recourse onto ALLAH.
7. And lastly recite a DUA, pray to ALLAH for help: "O ALLAH, Make your Love the most beloved thing to me of all Loves, And make my fear of you the the most fearful thing to me of all fears. Free me from the necessities of this world, By [granting me] a desire to meet you. When the eyes of the people of the world are cooled by their worldly belongings, let my eyes be cooled by your worship."
